The 2018 Event was held on August 4, in the Railyard below the Cube.
The 8th Annual Veterans Freedom Music Festival took place on August 4, 2018 from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm in The Railyard, beneath the Cube in The Historic Haymarket in Lincoln, NE. Opening ceremony started right at 10:30 am sharp.
VETERANS PARKED FOR FREE AT THE 8TH ANNUAL VETERANS FREEDOM MUSIC FESTIVAL! (compliments of the Friedman Law Offices).
The band line up for this year was the best yet, and everyone attending had a great afternoon of music! The top bands in the Lincoln area were featured, offering a wide range of musical offerings every hour, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Bands performed on a stage, right below the Cube (Click Here for more information on the Cube).
Following are the bands who generously donated their time and talent in support of our veterans.
1030 The event began promptly with the Opening Presentation of Colors and National Anthem by Carolyn Oleson.
1200 3 Chords and a Cloud of Dust
1300 Hard Knox Band
1500 Blues Messengers
1600 Chickn Fried Moses
1700 Closing and Taps
We concluded with a closing ceremony, playing of taps, and retiring of the colors, all of which ended promptly at 5:30 PM.
There were also information and Veteran outreach activities booths to learn more about services and benefits provided by the VA.
Visitors were encouraged to bring canned goods, which were for the Lincoln Food Bank to give to the Veterans Pantry.
There were booths to provide information about VA Health Care & Veteran's Services Organizations.
Veterans Parking was FREE in one of the "Park & Go" locations. Freidman Law Offices paid for Veterans Parking when they brought their tickets to us during the Festival! One Hour or One Day ... it did not matter - Freidman paid for the Parking!
This Event was open to the Public and best of all, Admission was FREE!!!
